Lawmaker demands investigation against governor Maha Prasad Adhikari

KATHMANDU, July 13: Lawmaker Rekha Sharma demanded an investigation against governor of Nepal Rastra Bank, Maha Prasad Adhikari about his involvement in a political party.
Addressing the House of Representatives (HoR) meeting on Wednesday, lawmaker Sharma maintained that governor Adhikari has been found involved with the CPN-UML which is against the prevailing law. “Who is governor Adhikari accountable to? The government or the opposition party?”
Sharma also demanded action against Adhikari if he is found involved with any political party through the investigation.
