Govt committed to conduct HoR and provincial elections this year: PM Deuba

KATHMANDU, June 30: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has maintained that the government is committed to conduct the elections of House of Representatives (HoR) and provincial level this year.
Addressing an event held in Kathmandu to mark the 64th Parliament Day, PM Deuba also stated that the parliament is a vital base for democracy.
Deuba also expressed his gratitude for the support of former parliamentarians to the government.
Likewise, the Chief Election Commissioner Dinesh Thapaliya has also maintained that the elections will be held by mid-December, 2022.
The government recently held the elections of the local level and is due to hold elections of the HoR and provincial level.
