Cop charged with beating doctor suspended

KATHMANDU, June 29: A traffic policeman who was charged with beating a doctor black and blue has been suspended.
‘Rajendra Thapa, Police constable, has been suspended,” SP Sanjeeb Sharma of Valley Traffic Police Office told Ratopati.
Dr Kul Bahadur Ghising who has been working for Arogya Foundation on Sunday night while Ghising was on his way home just because ‘he was walking home at night’.
“Further investigation of the case is underway,” said SP Sharma.
