Newly elected mayor, deputy mayor of KMC assume office

KATHMANDU, May 30: Balen Shah who was recently elected to the post of mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) took an oath of office and secrecy and assumed his office on Monday.

Chief Election Commissioner Raju Kathiwada administered an oath of office and secretary to Shah amid an event at the National Assembly Hall in Kathmandu.

Similarly, newly elected deputy mayor Sunita Dangol, ward chairpersons and other members were also sworn in on the same day.
