KMC Mayor Race: Balen Shah ahead of Sthapit by 11,073 votes

KATHMANDU, May 19: Balen Shah, an independent mayoral candidate, has secured 22,842 votes as of 12:35 PM, Thursday which is 11,073 votes more than his nearest contender.
Keshav Sthapit, mayoral candidate of CPN-UML, has so far garnered 11,769 votes followed by Srijana Singh, mayoral candidate of Nepali Congress backed by the ruling alliance with 10,986 votes.
As of 12:35 PM, today, as many as 58,850 votes have been counted.
Vote count of ward 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 has been completed and the vote count of ward 6, 7, 28, 29, 30 , 31 and 32 is currently underway.
