Independent candidate Rai leading vote count in Dharan sub-metropolis

KATHMANDU, May 19: Harka Rai, an independent mayoral candidate of Dharan Sub-Metropolitan City is currently leading the vote count as of 10 AM, Thursday.
Rai has so far garnered 8,509 votes while his nearest contender Kishwor Rai of Nepali Congress has collected 8,362 votes.
Likewise, Manju Bhandari of CPN-UML has secured 6,858 votes.
Meanwhile, Aindra Bikram Bega, a candidate of CPN (Maoist Center) for the post of deputy-mayor, is currently leading the vote count with 9,430 votes.
