Renu Dahal ahead of UML candidate by 1,712 votes in Bharatpur metropolis
KATHMANDU, May 18: Renu Dahal, mayoral candidate of CPN (Maoist Center) backed by the ruling alliance, is currently leading the vote count in Bharatpur metropolis with 9,970 votes which is 1,712 votes more than her nearest contender.
Bijay Subedi, mayoral candidate of CPN-UML is following Dahal with 8,258 votes.
Likewise, the rebel candidate of Nepali Congress (NC) is in third position with 4,315 votes.
So far, 27,438 votes casted in the metropolis have been counted.
Similarly, Chitrasen Adhikari, deputy mayoral candidate, is currently leading the vote count with 11,956 votes while Adhikari’s nearest contender Himal Gurung of UML has garnered 6,742 votes.
