CPN-UML victorious in yet another local unit in Mustang

KATHMANDU, May 14: Candidates of CPN-UML have been elected Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson of Lomanthang Rural Municipality of Mustang district.
Tashi Nurbu Gurung has been elected to the post of the Chairperson of the municipality with 668 votes. His nearest contender was Tashi Gurung of Nepali Congress, who garnered 514 votes.
Likewise, Chumi Gurung of CPN-UML has been elected in the post of Vice-Chairperson of the Rural Municipality with 632 votes.
With this, the main opposition party, CPN-UML, has so far won three local units in the district.
