Local Level Polls: Voting period ends as clock strikes 5 PM

KATHMANDU, May 13: As the clock strikes 5 PM, the voting period of the local level polls has ended. 

The local level polls conducted from 7 AM to 5 PM on Friday in all the 753 local units are all set to elect 35,221 representatives.

The voting was held in 21,955 polling centers at 10,756 polling stations across the country. 

As many as 145,011 candidates are contesting in the local polls across the country. Of them, 89,313 are males and 55,698 are females.

Of the 145,011 candidates vying for the various posts, only 35,221 candidates will be elected at the end.
