Eight die, 15 injured in a Jeep accident in Syangja

Jeep was carrying voters of the local level polls

KATHMANDU, May 13: As many as eight people died as a Jeep carrying voters met with an accident at Waling Municipality of Syangja district on Friday.

The ill-fated Jeep (GA 2 CHA 3026) enroute to Waling Municipality from Sikre plunged 500 meters down the road at around 10:30 this morning.

More than 15 people have been injured. They are currently undergoing treatment at the Waling-based Health Center, according to Bishnu KC, spokesperson of Nepal Police.
