Night clubs to remain open but barred from selling alcohol during silence period

KATHMANDU, May 11: The night clubs in the Kathmandu Valley are to remain open through the silence period of the local election but are barred from selling alcohol drinks and products, according to Govinda Prasad Rijal, chief District Administrative Officer of Kathmandu.

Not only in the clubs and bars but most of the District Administration Office, including Kathmandu, have prohibited selling and consumption of alcohol throughout the country during this period.

“The security personnel will be mobilized to monitor the activities,” Rijal told Ratopati.
