Nepal beats Zimbabwe ‘A’ by eight wickets
KATHMANDU, May 4: Nepal thrashed Zimbabwe ‘A’ by eight wickets in the third match of the T-20 series played at the Tribhuvan University Cricket Ground on Wednesday.
Winning the toss, Nepal had opted to bowl first.
Getting an invitation to bat first, Zimbabwe ‘A’ had set a target of 137 runs in 20 overs for Nepal to win.
Nepal on its part chased down the target in the loss of two wickets in 15 overs of the game.
Aasif Sheikh contributed the highest of 87 runs that included 13 fours and 1 six for Nepal to win the game.
Earlier, in the first match of the series, Nepal had faced a defeat by six wickets while the second game was postponed due to weather conditions.
