Suspended Governor Adhikari files writ petition at SC demanding reversal of his suspension

KATHMANDU, April 17: The suspended Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank, Maha Prasad Adhikari on Sunday filed a writ petition at the Supreme Court demanding the government to repeal its decision to take action against him.

According to Bimal Poudel, spokesperson for the central Bank, Adhikari has filed a writ petition and the petition is currently being studied.

The government on April 8 had suspended Governor Adhikari accusing him of leaking sensitive information and under-performing.

Adhikari in his petition maintained that the government move was unconstitutional.
