Fire breaks out at 32 places in past 24 hours, one killed, five injured

KATHMANDU, April 17: As summer season begins, fire incidents are on rise. 

Fires broke out at as many as 32 places across the country in the past 24 hourS, according to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority. 

A person died and five other sustained injuries in these incidents.

Properties worth approximately Rs 20 million were burnt down in the incidents. 

The deceased has been identified as a five-year-old boy. He died when a fire broke out in a house at Bodebarsine Municipality-10 in Saptari district. Five people were injured in fires in Rautahat and Parsa districts, said the Authority.
