PHOTOS: Typhoid vaccination drive for children begins
PM inaugurates the campaign amid an event at Durbar High School
KATHMANDU, April 7: The government is administering a typhoid vaccine to children aged between 15 months to 15 years for the first time from April 7 to May 8.
Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba on Thursday inaugurated the campaign amid an event at Rani Pokhari-based Durbar High School.
According to the government’s data, as many as 450,000 people have been found infected with typhoid in Nepal.
The World Health Organization (WHO) has recommended vaccination against typhoid in Nepal and the government has begun a vaccination drive accordingly.
