PHOTOS: Selection for temporary police begins

KATHMANDU, March 30: The government has begun the selection process for recruitment of temporary police personnel to be mobilized to maintain security during the upcoming local level election.
Nepal Police is recruiting as many as 100,000 temporary police personnel and the selection has kicked off from Wednesday.
The training of the selected personnel is scheduled to begin from April 11.
As many as 293,314 individuals from across the country have filed their nomination for temporary police positions. Male candidates are mandatory to have a body weight minimum of 50 kilograms and height of minimum 5.2 feets. Likewise, the criteria for female candidates is 48 kilograms and 5 feets.
