Patan High Court issues interim order to stop NRNA’s election activities till March 23

KATHMANDU, March 21: The Patan High Court issued a short-term interim order to stop all sort of election activities of the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) till March 23 on Monday.
A single bench of Justice Durga Bahadur BK issued the order to this effect.
The election of the NRNA is scheduled for March 24 and 25.
Earlier, member of NRNA, Chintamani Sapkota, had filed a writ petition demanding to stop the election at Patan High Court against the NRNA’s decision to conduct the election on March 24 and 25.
The next date for discussion over the issue has been scheduled for March 23. Both the parties have been summoned for the discussion on the same date.
