Paul Shah likely to remain in custody for five more days

"Adequate evidences has been presented which can prove Shah guilty."

KATHMANDU, March 18: The 12 day time granted to police for investigating the rape case filed against actor Paul Shah, who is currently in police custody, by a minor is coming to an end on Friday.

The Tanahu District Court had granted permission for a second time to keep actor Shah in custody for 12 days for investigation on March 6. Earlier, Shah had already remained in custody for seven days.

After, the court granted the permission, another rape case was filed against actor Shah by the same minor at Nawalpur. Shah was then taken to Nawalpur for investigation on March 8 due to which the District Police Office (DPO) Tanahu is yet to complete the investigation of the case.

It has been learnt that the DPO, Tanahu, is preparing to ask the District Court for permission to keep actor Shah in custody for five more days.

Adequate evidence has been presented which can prove Shah guilty:  Assistant District Attorney Dal Bahadur Nepali 

Dal Bahadur Nepali, Assistant District Attorney at the District Court, Nawalparasi maintained that adequate evidence has been discovered which can prove Shah guilty. 

According to Nepali, it has been proven that both Shah and the minor had stayed in the same hotel when the incident occurred.

Besides, Nepali maintained that Shah had stayed in Room 101 and the minor had stayed in Room 102 at the Gaindakot-based Resort. According to the minor, Shah raped her twice that night.

Likewise, statements of eyewitnesses, the owner of the Resort and waiters have also proven that Shah and the minor had stayed in the same resort, according to Nepali.

Similarly, the health test of the girl also indicated that she was in a physical relationship.
