Sankhuwasabha bus accident: Deceased identified

KATHMANDU, March 10: As many as 14 people died in a bus accident in Thulung-6 of Madi Municipality of Sankhuwasabha district.

Deceased have been identified as Bipin Niraula, 30 of Terhathum, the bus driver, and Umesh Bhattari, 35, of Madi-5, of Sankhuwasabha district.

Besides, Sita BK, 30, Madi-6, Anjana Katuwal, 32, Diksha Katuwal, 5, Bhawani Prasad Dahal, 49, Deepak Kumar Dahal, 48 and Shyam Sherpa, 55 of Madi-5 also died in the accident.

Similarly, those deceased also include Aita Bahadur Tamang and Bal Bahadur Karki, 60 and Sabita Karki, 28 of Madi 4 and Barshiya Indira Adhikari, 42, of Madi-2. 

Likewise, Samikshya Yonjan, 31 and Sudeep Ghising, 8 of Taplejung district also died in the same accident, according to DSP Laldwaj Subedi.

The ill-fated bus ( Ba 4 Kha 735) en route to Dhamak, Jhapa met with an accident at around 7:30 AM on Thursday.

Over speeding might have caused the accident, according to the police.

Also, those injured in the accident have been identified as Subash Gole and Yuba Pokhrel of Madi-5 and Tulsa Katuwal, Ambika BK and Dambar Bahadur Karki of Madi-6.
