KATHMANDU, March 6: Mohan Baniya, lawmaker of the CPN-UML, has been suspended.
Baniya, who is from Mugu, is currently in police custody in charge of raping a woman.
Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota during the meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) held on Sunday maintained that lawmaker Baniya has been suspended.
“Lawmaker Baniya has been suspended as per a letter received from the District Police Office, Banke,” said Speaker Sapkota.
