92 cadres protesting against MCC arrested

KATHMANDU, Feb 16: Police have arrested as many as 92 individuals staging a protest against the Millennium Corporate Challenge (MCC) at New Baneshwar, Kathmandu.

Similarly, a protester and three security personnel were injured in a clash between the cadres and security personnel.

As the clash intensified, the police fired tear gas and water cannons to the protesters.

The arrested people have been kept at Bhrikutimandap, Baneshwar and Singha Durbar-based Police Offices, spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police Office, SP Santosh Singh Rathor.
