CJ Rana’s response to impeachment motion: I am happy
An impeachment motion was registered against CJ Rana by 98 lawmakers at the parliament secretariat on Sunday.

KATHMANDU, Feb 13: Chief Justice (CJ) Cholendra Shumsher Rana maintained that he was happy that the lawmakers registered an impeachment motion as per the provision of Constitution.
Speaking to Ratopati, CJ Rana said, “ I go by process, rule and regulations. I was appointed constitutionally and the lawmakers have used their right. So I am happy.”
Maintaining that ground and reason for moving a motion of impeachment against him is yet to be proven, CJ Rana maintained that he has always been advocating for respecting the rules and regulations.
“My responsibilities are constitutional and I will follow them no matter what,” he added.
