IN PICS: Anti-MCC protest in the capital

KATHMANDU, Feb 9: As many as eight political parties jointly staged a protest against the Millennium Corporate Challenge (MCC) in Kathmandu on Wednesday.

The political parties staging the protests include a coalition member of the ruling coalition, the Rastriya Janamorch Party, among others.

The protesters marched from Maitigar to Singadurbar with placards and banners witten ‘No MCC’.

The protest was held at the time when Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba is likely to ratify the compact through parliament.
