Valley witnesses 5,549 new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday
Of 39,044 active cases across the country, 24,576 are in the valley alone.

KATHMANDU, Jan 18: The Kathmandu Valley on Tuesday recorded 5,549 new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday.
Of the 10,258 new cases detected across the country, 5,549 were recorded in the Kathmandu Valley alone which includes Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur districts. The number accounts for 54.09 percent of the total cases detected across the country.
Of the total cases detected in the valley on Tuesday, 4,004 were detected in Kathmandu, 570 in Bhaktapur and 975 in Lalitpur districts.
Likewise, there are currently 17,709 active cases of COVID-19 in Kathmandu, 2,396 in Bhaktapur and 4,471 in Lalitpur districts. Of 39,044 active cases across the country, 24,576 are in the valley alone.
