Four members of a family die of suffocation in Surkhet

SURKHET, Jan 17: Four members of a family died of suffocation at Bubudi of Birendra Municipality-10 in Surkhet district.
It has been learnt that the deceased including a mother and three children had burnt coal before going to bed.
According to Police, the deceased have been identified as Kalpa Buda (BC), 35, Niraj Buda, 9, Chiranjibi Buda, 8, and Somraj Buda, 5.
“It has been learnt that they had burnt coal for heat at around 9:30 PM before going to bed,” said Information Officer at the District Police Office, Surkhet, DSP Ram Prasad Garti.
The police and representatives of the local government had reached the incident site at around 7:30 pm on Saturday and recovered the dead bodies after breaking into their rooms.
