Who can receive COVID-19 booster dose being administered from Sunday?

KATHMANDU, Jan 16: The government is administering COVID-19 booster doses from today.

A ministerial-level meeting held at the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) on January 12 took a decision in this regard. 

Here is the list of people who can receive it:

1) Health workers

2) Security personnel

3) Media personnel

4) Sanitation workers

5) Ambulance drivers

6) Hearse drivers

7) Officials at Tribhuvan International Airport 

Similarly, senior citizens above the age of 60 will be provided a booster jab starting January 28. 

The meeting also decided to provide booster shots to those whose vaccination period has already crossed six months.
