Five die in wedding van accident

RAUTAHAT, Dec 28: Five people died when a wedding van met with an accident in Rautahat district on Tuesday. 

The ill-fated vehicle with the Indian number plate (BR 05 PA 6953), which was bound to Chandranigahapur from Gaur,  lost its control and skidded off the road at around 4 PM, according to Sunil Malla, spokesperson for Rautahat Police. 

The van was carrying a total of seven wedding attendants. Malla added that two others sustained injuries and one of them is undergoing treatment at a local hospital. “The other wounded person was sent to Birgunj for further treatment,” he said. 

Police are yet to identify deceased and injured ones, according to police.
