Prohibitory orders in Siraha, restrictions on gathering of more than five people

KATHMANDU, December 28: The local administration of Siraha district has enforced a prohibitory order in the district beginning from 7 AM today which will end on 7 PM Wednesday.

A prohibitory order has been enforced following continuous protests and demonstrations by the Janamat Party-led by CK Raut.

The restrictions have been strictly imposed mainly in the sections of East-West Highway and the Siraha-Choharwa road sections from earlier this morning.

According to the district administration office, Siraha, the public have been barred to wander or gather in the restricted zones. “Gathering of more than five people and holding protests and demonstrations are strictly prohibited, '' reads a press statement issued by the local administration.

However, there won’t be any sort of restrictions in transportation activities, according to the chief district officer, Lal Babu Kawari. “Those defying the prohibitory orders have been warned of strict legal actions.”
