PHOTOS: Farmers busy picking ‘Makhamali’ as Tihar festival nears

KATHMANDU, October 27: Farmers in Bhaktapur are seen busy picking Globe Amaranth (Makhamali) as Tihar festival is just a week away.

Flowers are largely used as garlands and to decorate houses during the festival of lights.

As the market largely hit by COVID-19 pandemic gradually improves and daily life gets back to normal, farmers are optimistic that this festival season will be fruitful for them.
