Ex-Chairman of Nepal Airlines Chaturvedi commits suicide

KATHMANDU, October 7: The former Chairman of Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) Ramagya Chaturvedi has committed suicide on Thursday morning.

According to SP Ramesh Basnet of the Metropolitan Police Range, Kathmandu, Chaturvedi, 74,  jumped from an under construction building at  Chabahil in Kathmandu.

The deceased’s mobile set has been recovered from the fourth floor of the building.

The dead body has been taken to Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital at Maharajgunj, Kathmandu for postmortem.

Earlier when Chaturvedi served at NAC, the court had sentenced two years of prison after finding him guilty in a corruption case.
