Lalita Niwas Scam: CJ Rana, Justice Subedi to hear writ petition against ex-PMs Bhattarai, Nepal

KATHMANDU, October 4: Hearing of the writ petition filed demanding to initiate hearing on the case of involvement of former Prime Ministers Babu Ram Bhattarai and Madhav Kumar Nepal is scheduled for Monday.

A bench of Chief Justice Cholendre Shumsher JBR and Justice Nahakul Subedi is to conduct the hearing.

Earlier, senior advocate Bal Krishna Neupane had filed a writ petition demanding initiation of hearing of the case after the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) did not file the case. CIAA has also been mentioned as a defendant in the petition.

If the apex court issued an order as per the writ petition, former PMs Bhattarai and Nepal will have to face an investigation.
