40 percent of people living in Kathmandu fully vaccinated against COVID-19

KATHMANDU, September 5: As many as 40 percent of people living in Kathmandu district have been fully vaccinated against the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

According to Badri Bahadur Khadka, chief of the District Health Office, Kathmandu, 48 percent of people living in the district have received their first doses and 40 percent have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as of Friday.

The number of people fully vaccinated in Kathmandu was 914,485 as of Friday while 110,980 have received their first doses.

Shankarapur Municipality and Dakshinkali Municipality have been able to administer the first dose of COVID-19 vaccines to all the eligible population, according to Khadka.

According to the latest data from the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), as many as 107,598 people received COVID-19 vaccine across the country on Saturday alone.
