2,274 COVID-19 patients recovered on Friday

KATHMANDU, September 3: Nepal recorded deaths of 23 people due to COVID-19 on Friday along with 1,756 new cases and 2,274 recoveries.

According to the latest data from the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), 14,334 COVID-19 tests were conducted in the past 24 hours.

There are currently 33,006 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Of them, 30,662 are in home isolation, 2,344 in institutional isolation, 540 in ICUs and 156 are on ventilators.

Similarly, the Kathmandu Valley - where lies the federal capital- recorded new cases on Friday. Of them, 467 were detected in Kathmandu, 71 in Bhaktapur and 129 Lalitpur districts.

Meanwhile, as many as 164,302 people received COVID-19 vaccines on the same day.
