The Valley recorded 1,033 new cases

KATHMANDU, August 17: Nepal recorded 3,274 new cases of COVID-19 through 17,689 tests on Tuesday.

According to the latest data from the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), 11,565 PCR tests and 6,124 antigen tests were conducted today. Of them, 2,456 PCR tests and 818 antigen tests turned out to be positive.

Likewise, as many as 1,929 COVID-19 patients recovered and 27 succumbed to COVID-19 on Tuesday.

There are currently 39,871 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Of them, 36,575 are in home isolation, 3,296 in institutional isolation, 790 in ICUs and 191 on ventilators, as of Tuesday afternoon.

Likewise, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 1,033 new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday. Of them, 673 were detected in Kathmandu, 141 in Bhaktapur and 219 in Lalitpur districts.
