Son killed by father’s accidental shot in Palpa

PALPA, Aug 14: Dhan Bahadur Lamtari of Tallo Tal of Ribdikot Rural Municipality-6 in Palpa has died after being shot with a loaded gun.

According to the District Police Office, Karna Bahadur Lamtari, 56, fired from a muzzleloader targeting a jackal spotted in a maize field about 100 metres away from his house, but the bullet accidently hit his son Dhan Bahadur, leaving him dead. The son was hit by the bullet on his head. 

Following the accident, police arrested the father and further investigation is underway. The accident happened at around 6:00 pm on Friday.
