Shrestha re-elected Nepal Cancer Relief Society president

Lahan, The 27th central assembly of Nepal Cancer Relief Society that concluded in Lahan, Siraha on Saturday constituted a new working committee, re-electing Lokendra Kumar Shrestha (Ishwar) as the president. 
The members of the working committee include Mahesh Shrestha, Krishna Bahadur Basnet, Dr Rajendra Prasad Baral, Bimal Hoda, Ananta Prasad Dhaubadel, Badrinath Pokharel, Prakash Khatiwada, Uttam Kumar Basnet, Radha Karki, Narayan Kumar Koirala, Dr Pradip Baidya, Umesh Chandra Yadav and Dinesh Shankar Palikhe. They were all elected unanimously. 
The working committee would have a three-year term. 
The central assembly demanded that the cancer treatment should be made cost-free, calling on the government to provide minimum Rs 500 thousand to a cancer patient for medical treatment if cost-free treatment was not immediately feasible, the newly elected president Shrestha said. 
Minister without Portfolio Girirajmani Pokharel had inaugurated the assembly.
