Nepal reports 5,727 new COVID-19 cases on Friday, 33 more fatalities

KATHMANDU, April 30: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) on Friday confirmed a total of 5,727 new cases of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
Of the confirmed cases, 5,657 were detected through the 15,391 RT-PCR tests and 70 others through the 525 antigen tests.
This has taken the country’s total case tally to 323,187.
Meanwhile, a total of 33 new deaths linked with the mutant variant were reported in the past 24 hours taking the country’s fatality tally to 3,279.
