15 entrepreneurs honoured with agro award

Kathmandu - As many as 15 entrepreneurs have been honoured with 'Agro Times Agriculture Award 2074' for their untiring contribution in commercial agricultural sector of Nepal. 

Minister for Livestock Development, Santa Kumar Tharu, conferred the awards on the individuals on Monday during the fifth anniversary of a magazine, Agro Times Monthly. The magazine is published by the Agro Times Media network. 

Agro entrepreneur Dhalu Ram Mahji was conferred the outstanding award. Among the other best award recipients include Ambar Bahadur Tarami Magar, Dipendra Kumar Joshi, Hariraj Bhattarai, Junga Bahadur Shah, Khyam Narayan Poudyal, Prem Krishna Shrestha, Rabi Krishna Joshi, Rajendra Devkota, Ram Pattel, Ramji Prasad Timalsina, Samishya Banskota and Sangram Rai. 

The Satkarma Agriculture Cooperative Ltd and Shaktiswori Agriculture Farm were also honoured with the award. 

On the occasion, Minister Tharu called for continuation of the 'Agro Times Agriculture Award' as it would motivate the farmers. 

Agro Times Managing Director, Ashim Sapkota, said his media has been raising the issues of agriculture and farmers since a long time.
