Three faking abduction arrested

Rajbiraj - Police here has arrested three people who feigned abduction for ransom. 

Among the arrestees is also the son of a businessman who faked that he had been abducted and asked him to pay ransom for his release. He is Devchandra Kumar Mandal, 22, the son of Gosain Mandal of Kunauli, Dogmara Gram Panchayat-8, District Supaul in India. 

The police made public Devchandra and two of his accomplices through a news conference here on Sunday. Devchandra had come to Saptari from his home town and with the help of two of his Nepali accomplises phoned his father asking for ransom, police said.
