Rai appointed RSS General Manager

KATHMANDU, June 22: Siddharaj Rai from Dhankuta has been appointed the general manager of the National News Agency (RSS). The Cabinet meeting held at Prime Minister's residence Baluwatar on Monday took this decision, according to the Ministry of Information and Communications Technology.

Rai, the resident of Shahidbhumi Rural Municipality-3 of Dhankuta, had begun his career in journalism since 2055 BS. He initially joined the News Times weekly published from Dharan city. He continued journalism from mofussil for long time and also did it in Kathmandu.

His further excelled journalism at the Nepal Samacharpatra daily and the Nagarik daily. Currently, he is working as an editor at an online news portal- dekhapadhi.com.  Rai has done Master's Degree in Mass Communications and Journalism. 

He was also the central members of the Federation of Nepalis Journalists, and Press Chautari Nepal.
