Achham - Many local levels in the district have been deprived of banking service, affecting service seekers in various ways. 

As a result, service seekers including the locals, and various organisations are forced to go to the district headquarters for service. Those local levels that lack banks include rural Turmakhad, Ramaroshan, Mellekh and Chaurpati. "We are facing difficulties for want of a bank in the village. Our good three days are spent in reaching the district headquarters and getting banking service," complained a local. 

"We are forced to carry thousands of rupees in a bag, which always involves security risk," said accountant at Chaurpati rural municipality Manoj Thapa. 

When asked, Chairperson of Ramaroshan rural municipality Jhankar Saud said efforts were on to bring banking service in the villages.
