Fire at eatery guts property worth over Rs 300 thousand

Bhaktapur - A fire that broke out at an eatery near the land revenue office at Bhaktapur Municipality-9 gutted property worth Rs 368 thousand. 

The fire started at the eatery, Redihang Khaja Pasal, operated by Krishna Bahadur Rai of Lekhgaun-2, Udayapur district, due to the explosion of an LPG cylinder this morning, according to the Metropolitan Police Range, Bhaktapur. 

Five gas cylinders, one fridge, utensils, a motorcycle and two water tanks were destroyed by the inferno. The fire was brought under control through the joint efforts of Nepal Police and the locals with the help of the fire engine brought from Bhaktapur, police said.
