12 gamblers arrested from Dhankuta

Dhankuta - Police have arrested 12 gamblers along with stake money of approximately Rs 350,000 from Pakhribas Municipality in the district on Wednesday evening.
A team from the District Police Office raided the house of one Dil Bahadur Gurung at the municipality-4, and also confiscated 16 pieces cowrie and three decks of playing cards.
The police acted on a tip off.
Meanwhile, the police have intensified a crackdown on gambling in the district during festivals like Dashain and Tihar that see in general an increment in gambling.
