Man swept away by river, dies

Ratnanagar, Chitwan - A person died after he was swept away by river while crossing it at Padampokharai in Bharatpur Metropolitan City here today. 

Karna Bahadur Kunwar, alias Santosh, around his 50s, was crossing the Kerunga rivulet when he was swept away. His head got stuck in a hume pipe which led to his death, the District Police Office, Chitwan stated. 

Kunwar, who is from Thori, Parsa, had been working at the house of Narayan Poudel at Bharatpur-22. The body has been taken to the Bharatpur Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
