Khalanga-Rimna road section disrupted for 12 days

Jajarkot - Traffic along Khalanga-Rimna road section in Jajarkot has remained disrupted since the past 12 days, following a landslide at New Road of Bheri Municipality-3. As a result, people are forced to walk up to four hours to travel from Khalanga to Rimna and vice-versa.

Likewise, the supply of daily essentials, and agricultural products has also been affected. Locals have complained that authorities concerned have not shown any concern to repair the damaged road. Besides, the landslide has put the nearby settlement at risk.

"No authority concerned has yet taken any initiations to control the landslide and resume the traffic," complained a local Ganesh Thapa. Lack of drainage along the road has made the situation worse, as the locals said.
