Traffic along Ratu river bridge banned for five days

Mahottari - The bridge over the Ratu river on the border of Mahottari and Dhanusa will remain closed for the next five days as repair is underway after the bridge caved in in the recent flooding, the police said. 

Vehicular movement has not been allowed. While work is underway to construct a Bailey bridge, a diversion road has been built for transportation and people's movement, said Superintendent of Police Dipak Pokharel. 

Likewise, the District Police Office has urged transport workers and people to use Dhalkebar-Jaleshwor-Bardibas road in case the diversion is swept away.
