JSP on a brink: Yadav and Bhattarai agree to go separate paths
KATHMANDU, June 30: At the time when the intra-party rift in the Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) has been reaching new heights, Chairman Upendra Yadav and Dr Babu Ram Bhattarai, Federal Committee Chair have reached an agreement to take separate paths.
Two leaders reached the agreement amid a meeting held between them at Singha Durbar on Wednesday.
It has been learnt that Bhattarai accused Yadav of not being able to think beyond regional and ethnic politics and proposed Yadav to choose separate paths maintaining that he (Bhattarai) can no longer work with Yadav.
Chair Yadav has agreed to Bhattarai’s proposal, according to sources.
However, it has not been clear who else will quit JSP along with Bhattarai so far.
