RSP's plenary meeting kicks off in Sauraha

Chitwan, Nov 7: The plenary meeting of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has officially commenced in Sauraha. Prior to the start of the extended meeting, the party's Central Committee convened this morning to approve the agenda.

Party spokesperson Manish Jha reported that discussions regarding both internal and political matters were held alongside the agenda.

He noted that the extended meeting commenced following the Central Committee's session. Over the course of two days, General Secretary Kabindra Burlakoti is set to deliver a report on organizational matters, while Deputy General Secretary Bipin Acharya will outline the candidate selection procedures. The extended meeting aims to establish the party's future strategy.

During the meeting, acting party president Dol Prasad Aryal will present the draft commitment letter for the upcoming elections, with additional input from vice president Dr Swarnim Wagle. Provincial chairpersons are expected to provide insights on the state of party organization within their respective districts.

As central member Rajan Gautam said, representatives will offer feedback on the reports discussed during the meeting, and if necessary, amendments will be made to incorporate these suggestions before the expanded meeting gives its approval. Additionally, the party plans to address the general convention scheduled for the upcoming Falgun during this meeting.

The gathering includes 512 representatives, comprising central party members, secretariat members, advisory council members, officials from central departments, provincial secretariat members, constituency chairpersons of the House of Representatives, district chairpersons, party organization officials from abroad, and municipal mayors.
