School set to organize Ghazal evening for poor students' sake

Lamjung (Besisahar) - A school is preparing to organize a Ghazal evening with an aim to raise funds for the students coming from the poor economic background. 

The musical event 'Moti Gazal Saanjh' is taking place at Bhakti Namuna Secondary School located at Bhoteodar. Ghazal is a form of love poem sung with recurring rhyme pattern. 

The programme is being held to raise support for the poor students of Grade 2, Programme Coordinator and teacher, Thakit Yatri said. 

"The children studying in government schools are forced to drop out due to their inability to buy meal and educational materials," Yatri said, adding "This programme will be organized to create an environment that allows these children coming from the poverty – stricken families to come to school." 

He said the proceeds drawn from the programme will be used to set up a revolving fund, and the interest from the deposited money will be used to buy meals and educational materials for the students. There are a total of 150 students enrolled at the primary level of the school.
