Former senior political advisor dies at 92

BEIJING - Yang Rudai, former member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, passed away due to illness at the age of 92 in Beijing just before 5:30 p.m. Saturday. 


Yang was extolled in a statement released from the central authority as an excellent member of the Communist Party of China, a time-tested and loyal communist soldier, and an outstanding leader in agriculture and the economic development of the country. Yang was also former vice chairman of the national committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and former secretary of the CPC Sichuan Provincial Committee.
